What is Deskspace?

Deskspace is several things: an easier way of working; a ERP platform for Integrated Information Systems and a reliable efficient Information System tailored to your needs.

When you really do need a better information system, when you can delay no longer, the choices facing you fall into two distinct categories: off-the-shelf standard systems, for example for Contact Management, Client Relationship Management or Sales Lead Management, none of which do everything you want but all of which may do part of what you want. Such systems generally do not work well together either.

If you choose a Deskspace ERP Integrated Information System you can have confidence that it will do exactly what you want, configured to meet your precise requirements and be ready to be expanded to meet your future needs.

How do I print?

Generally, the Print button giving access to printing will be on the Printable Object or Layout that you wish to print. If the Print button is available in the toolbar clicking it will take you into Print Mode where you can select the Printable Object in which you are interested. Click its Function Bar Button to display it and then click the Print Button positioned on the Printable Object.

How do I get Help?

There are several forms of help available to you in any IISS powered by Deskspace: Button Help, Layout Help, Additional Help, Tutorials and a "How Do I Do That" system set up to answer your specific questions based on the Specification of your Deskspace ERP IISS.

Why can't I login?

Login is case sensitive both for your user name and your password. Thus this information must be entered accurately. In addition, your use of the Deskspace ERP IISS is subject to the licence granted to your organisation. If you can't login it may be that more people are using the system than the licence permits, or that the licence, if temporary, has expired. If your attempt to login is rejected please make a note of the error message displayed and seek advice from your System Administrator who be able to help you.

What size monitor or screen do I need to run a Deskspace powered system?

You need a Monitor able to display at least the minimum specification resolution for Deskspace, namely 1024 x 768 at 75Hz or better, using thousands of colours.

Do I need any special Fonts on my computer to run a Deskspace powered system?

We supply every user with our special D7Bullet Font which should be used on every machine running a Deskspace ERP IISS.

Do I need any Plugins on my computer to run a Deskspace powered system?

We supply every user with a Plugin from Medical Databases called WindowUtility which should be placed in the Extensions Folder in the FileMaker Pro 9 Folder on each machine and the Preferences checked to ensure that this WindowUtility is enabled. The plugin controls some screen maximise functions. If a user finds that their Deskspace Window has not expanded, or contracted, to the correct size automatically it will because this Plugin is not currently functioning on their computer. We supply this Plugin under our licence with the people who developed it, solely to be used with the IISS we have supplied. If you licence the Mail Server functionality of your Deskspace ERP IISS then we also supply you with the necessary Dacons Mailit Plugin under our licence with them.

How is a Deskspace Powered System licenced?

Our systems are licenced in a variety of ways. It depends on what your Supplier has agreed with you. A licence may specify how many users are permitted to be authorised on the system at any one time, how many are permitted to login and use the system at the same time, which modules can be used and how many different Enterprises the system will accommodate. If the system is a trial system or if it has been supplied on a lease then the licence may specify a short expiry date. You can request a further licence be issued at any time. You cannot use the system without a valid licence.
